Every Athlete Has a Place
We don't mix skill levels. You train with fencers at your stage, so every class challenges you without overwhelming you.
Beginner
Start here. Learn the rules, the stance, the footwork, and the basic blade actions. Classes are small, relaxed, and designed to build confidence alongside skill.
Intermediate
For fencers who know the basics and want to compete. Tactical decision-making, distance control, and action combinations. The gap between knowing and competing gets closed here.
Competitive
Training for serious competitors. High-intensity drilling, live bout analysis, and tournament preparation led by the coach who's produced multiple national qualifiers.
Olympic Standards.
Every Session.
Group doesn't mean generic. Every class follows a structured progression designed by Coach Mahmoud Elshal based on the training systems used at international levels. Warm-up, footwork, blade work, and controlled bouting, every session.
Students don't just practice. They're corrected, challenged, and pushed to a standard that actually prepares them for competition. That's why UFA students consistently outperform athletes from larger programs.
- Structured curriculum with clear skill progression
- Capped class sizes for meaningful coach attention
- Live bouting integrated from intermediate level up
- USA Fencing–registered and safety-compliant
We Train to
Compete.
Group classes at UFA are designed with one long-term outcome in mind: students who can compete and win. From the beginner who's learning a lunge to the competitive fencer drilling on-target attacks, the standard is always higher than what's comfortable.
When tournament season comes, our students are ready, because the training never stopped preparing them for it.
- Regular in-class bouting and ranking bouts
- Coach-guided tournament participation
- Access to USA Fencing regional circuit events
- Pipeline into private lessons for serious competitors
Group Classes. National Results.
The Numbers
